Leslie Tollefson Scariano, MD

Dr. Leslie Scariano has had the privilege of practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1995. She moved to Colorado from Illinois after being an owner of a successful multi-specialty benchmark practice for 10 years. She has enjoyed practicing at the Center for Women’s Health since 2006 and lends her considerable experience in improving the lives of those who have entrusted their care to her. She received her medical school degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1991 and completed her OB/GYN residency at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. She grew up in Montana and met her husband, Lawrence Scariano MD, a local internal medicine physician during residency. Dr. Scariano has been board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1997.
Dr. Scariano believes in preventative education/health and enlists her patients in the disease processes and treatment options after thoughtful listening. She also strives to provide “cutting-edge”, timely and comprehensive care in a warm, welcoming environment. She has a special interest in adolescent gynecology, has two teenage children and enjoys giving talks to local middle schools concerning special health topics unique to this age group. She loves and feels privileged to deliver babies and enjoys seeing them grow-up through the lives she touches. Dr. Scariano strives to deliver patients vaginally and prides herself on a low Cesarean section rate. She enjoys performing both hospital and in-office procedures and has been performing the “Essure” sterilization procedure since its approval over eight years ago.
Dr. Scariano enjoys scrapbooking, gardening, skiing, getting together with friends, and watching her children play soccer and basketball.
